Andrea L. Rodriguez focuses on Detention cases, family based petitions, Consular Processing, NACARA/ABC cases , Hardship Waivers, Petitons based on the Violence Against Women Act, and relief in immigration court removal proceedings. She obtained her law degree from the City University School of Law (CUNY) in New York in 2002. She holds an undergraduate degree in Communication and Spanish from George Mason University in Virginia. Prior to working at the law offices, she worked as an Equal Justice Works Fellow at Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation working on environmental justice issues, specifically childhood lead poisoning prevention in New York City. During law school, she worked on issues of desegregation and affirmative action while interning at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. She also worked on issues of voting rights as a Haywood Burns Fellow with the Community Service Society in New York City. Ms. Rodriguez was awarded the Commitment to Justice Award in 2005 by InMotion, Inc., an organization working to help battered women in New York City. Ms. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish and English. |
